Chinese tea brand "CHALI" successfully completed a new round of financing of several hundred million RMB. The funding was led by GGV Capital, with continued investment from B-round lead investor Country Garden Venture Capital, as well as participation from Sina Weibo and existing shareholder CEC Capital.
CEC Capital Group served as the exclusive financial advisor in this transaction.
Founded in August 2013, "CHALI" specializes in high-end bagged tea made from premium tea leaves. Over the past two years, the company has established a comprehensive distribution network. Currently, "CHALI" products are sold online through platforms such as Tmall and JD.com, with steady sales growth and notable expansion in community group-buying. Offline, "CHALI" products have been introduced in over 7,000 high-end hotels, more than 5,000 corporate tea rooms, and 2,000 chain restaurants. The brand has also partnered with chain retailers such as OLE, HEMA, and MINISO, and opened three direct retail experience stores in the Greater Bay Area.
