CEC Capital Group-backed Enterprise MeiShang Raises RMB 400 Million in New Financing.
The parent company of the emerging brand “colorkey”, MeiShang, officially announced the closing of a new financing totaling RMB 400 million. This funding was led by Jinyi Capital, with participation from Goldman Sachs, CEC Capital Group, and Junchuan Capital.
Founded in 2018, MeiShang owns the trendy makeup brand “colorkey”, the professional makeup brand “superface”, and the scientific skincare brand Lab101. Since its inception, the trendy makeup brand “colorkey” has been dedicated to leading the modern millennial generation trend "daring to be different," and its signature product, the air lip tint, has been well-received in the market.
Founder Cici Lee has previously held senior positions in domestic and international cosmetic groups, boasting over 20 years of experience in the beauty industry. At inception, MeiShang secured nearly RMB 100 million in angel funding from investors including HongShan. In April 2020, it raised another RMB 200 million, with investment from Red Star Macalline, CEC Capital Group, Innovation Works, and MSA Capital.
